Dialogue Cloud

5 IP Planning and Firewall settings

Last updated: January 2025

5.1 Introduction

This chapter provides the IP-address and IP-Port details required for opening the customer’s Firewall between the customer’s SBC and the AnywhereNow Session Border Controller.

5.2 Dialogue Cloud SBC Fully Qualified Domain Name

There are multiple Azure regions in which the AnywhereNow Dialogue Cloud has been deployed. Please see below which regions they are, and which SBC FQDN will be applicable for terminating the customer’s VoIP connection (i.e. trunk).

The Dialogue Cloud Session Border Controller Fully Qualified Domain Names per supported region are:

  • Europe, Middle East & Africa:

    • For services deployed before 1st September 2023:

      emea-weu-p-sbc01.emea-weu.anywhere365.cloud

    • For services deployed on and after 1st September 2023:

      emea-gwc-p00-sbc01.emea-gwc.prd.anywhere365.cloud

  • Asia and Pacific

    • apac-sea-p-sbc01.apac-sea.anywhere365.cloud

  • Australia

    • apac-aue-p00-sbc01.apac-aue.prd.anywhere365.cloud

  • North America

    • nora-cus-p-sbc01.nora-cus.anywhere365.cloud

Important!

Ask your AnywhereNow contact (Professional Service Engineer during project delivery or through an AnywhereNow Support ticket for an operational platform) which SBC needs to be used for your AnywhereNow Dialogue Cloud Service. Especially in EMEA.

5.3 Geographical Redundancy

It should be noted that each region the deployed AnywhereNow Dialogue Cloud SBC runs in a high available cluster setup and is therefore active across 2 different Azure availability zones. In this geographical setup the SBC’s IP addresses will automatically be routed to the active node(s).

5.4 Used IP-Ports

The Anywhere 365 Dialogue Cloud uses the following port numbers for signaling:

Protocol Destination port number(s)

SIP TLS Over TCP (Preferred)

5061

SIP TCP/UDP

5060

Table 1 –Port numbers used for signaling

The Anywhere 365 Dialogue Cloud uses the following port numbers for media:

Protocol Destination port number(s)

SRTP/SRTCP Over UDP (Preferred)

6000-65535

RTP/RTCP Over UDP

6000-65535

Table 2 –Port numbers used for media

5.5 Used IP-Addresses

The following tables provide for each region a listing of the SBC cluster’s signaling and media IP-addresses.

Important!

The AnywhereNow SBC has been configured to follow the offered media load in a region, by scaling out and scaling in the number of Media Components (currently between the solution scales between 2 and 5 Media Components). As a result, it can be possible that IP-traffic towards Media Components 3 up to 5 will only occur at higher traffic moments applicable for that region.
