Manually deploy Attendant for Teams as a Microsoft Teams App
End-of-Sale Timeline for Attendant Console for Microsoft Teams
(added 14-07-2025) - AnywhereNow is phasing out sale of the Attendant Console for Microsoft Teams by December 31, 2025 as we transition to the more advanced Tendfor solution. Download the file from below location, leave the file zipped to use as a "manifest" in your Teams client.
Note
Remember you may need to "Unblock" the .zip files in the file properties after downloading.
Configure Attendant as Teams App

Option A: Upload custom app as user
An individual user can upload the Attendant as a custom app via a Manifest file.

Option B: Upload custom apps for your Organization catalog
The organization can make the Attendant available as custom app for the Organization catalog. Users can than add the Attendant to their Teams client.

Option C: Automatically install custom apps for users
The organization can also automatically install the Attendant as an App on the users Teams clients.

Steps by the Teams administrator
Your organization needs to allow you to upload custom apps. This can be done by your Teams Administrator:

Navigate to https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/

Navigate to Teams apps, Setup policies, and select the assigned policy.

Enable Upload custom apps
Steps by the end-user

Open the Microsoft Teams client

Select ... on the left menu bar and select + Get more apps

In the Manage your Apps window select Upload an app

in the Upload an app window select the option best fit for you:

Upload a custom app = If you only want to use it on your client only

Submit an app to your org = If you want to alert your Teams admin to make it available for the whole organization

Select the provided manifest file (attendant.anywhere365.io.zip)
Note
You may get a warning like: You can't sideload this app since it has a live SaaS offer. Only preview offers can be sideloaded.
You are allowed to continue to the next step. -
Select Add

The Attendant app can now be selected in the left menu.

When not pinned, the Attendant will be shown under the [...] menu or the +Apps button

Steps by the Teams administrator

Navigate to Teams apps and Manage Apps

Select Upload

Select the provided manifest file.
Steps by the user

Open the Microsoft Teams client
-
Select "+ Apps" or ... and "Manage your apps"

Under "Built for your org" search for Attendant and select the App
Warning
The older AnywhereNow Attendant app may be visible from the certified Teams app store so beware to select the right one. The "Built for your org" one should have the higher version number.

Select Add

The Attendant can now be selected in the left menu.

When not pinned, the Attendant will be shown under the [...] or the +Apps button

Navigate to Teams apps, Setup policies, and select the assigned policy.

Here you can choose 2 options:

Regardless of the option, select Add app, search for the Attendant, and select Add

The older AnywhereNow Attendant app may be visible from the certified Teams app store so beware to select the right one. The "manifest" one should have the higher version number.
Steps by the user

No actions needed, the Attendant app will be available in the side menu of Teams.
