Our Technical Release Bulletins are the easiest way for you to keep up to date on the latest improvements to the PeterConnects (part of AnywhereNow) product line and how you can leverage these investments for your customers.

Whenever applicable, the changes described below are also covered by the user manual.

List of fixes:

138191/133665: Visual Enhancements in Dark and Contrast Themes

Several visual inconsistencies across dark and contrast display modes have been resolved, resulting in a more unified and accessible interface.

Call History Widget:

The widget now properly adapts to the selected theme rather than defaulting to light mode, ensuring a consistent and visually cohesive experience.

ACD State Option:

The "Leave Unchanged" option is now fully visible in both dark and contrast themes, improving clarity and usability.

These updates deliver a smoother, more coherent visual experience across all supported display modes.

143578: Restored Visibility of Joined Queues in Monitoring Options

An issue has been resolved where certain joined queues, especially those assigned by an administrator, were not appearing in the monitored queue selection list.

With this fix, all joined queues are once again available for monitoring, including those that agents are required to join. This ensures complete visibility and greater flexibility when configuring queue monitoring in the Preferences screen.

132717: External Contacts Now Display and Filter Correctly within WebexBW

External contacts imported from an Excel file now appear accurately within WebexBW. Filtering by contact name in the attendant console correctly returns the expected results, ensuring smooth and reliable contact lookup.

140563/131242: Contact Notes Now Display Consistently Across All Views

An issue has been resolved where contact notes were displayed inconsistently between different screens.

In some cases, the old version of a note appeared in the F6 search view, while the new version of the note was visible on the F7 contact details screen. This was caused by a synchronization issue when notes were updated.

With this fix, contact notes are now shown consistently across all relevant views, ensuring accurate and reliable information for Receptionist+ users.

132605: ACD State No Longer Misrepresented or Overwritten in Preferences

An issue has been resolved where the ACD Automatic Call Distributor (ACD), also known as Automated Call Distribution System, is a component that redirects incoming calls to Agents. state could appear blank in the Preferences screen and be unintentionally changed to Signed Out when saving settings, even if no changes were made.

To prevent confusion and ensure the ACD state is always shown and managed correctly, the ACD state setting has been removed from the Preferences page.

Users can continue to view and change their ACD state directly from the main screen, where it is displayed clearly and reliably.

134469: Improved Reliability Through Working SRV Fallback Mechanism

Our system leverages SRV DNS records to automatically provide redundancy when connecting to the BroadWorks XSI platform. This ensures that if one XSI server becomes unavailable, the system can seamlessly switch to an alternative server, maintaining uninterrupted service.

Previously, this fallback mechanism was not functioning correctly, causing the system to repeatedly attempt connections to the unavailable server instead of failing over. This issue has now been resolved.

With this improvement, the system can reliably redirect traffic to a backup XSI server when necessary, enhancing service continuity and overall reliability for all customers.

130456: Reliable Error Handling for Contact Import in the Admin Portal

Customers can import their own contacts using an Excel file in the Admin Portal. However, when something went wrong during the import, users didn’t always see an error message, the contacts simply didn’t appear.

The root cause turned out to be the icon selection in the form. Selecting an icon is required, but due to an issue in the icon picker, its value was not passed correctly. This caused the form to fail silently, preventing any error messages from being shown.

This has now been fixed. The icon picker works correctly, the icon is properly validated as required, and users will now always see clear error feedback if something is wrong during import.

List of changes

123768: Move Admin portal to new design system

The Admin Portal used to configure Broadworks now adopts the new design system, bringing a more consistent and modern user experience.

With this update, all related configuration components have been aligned with the new design.

116418: Automatic Recovery from Corrupted Contact Cache

OmniDir now automatically rebuilds its local contact cache when corruption is detected.

Previously, if the cache became corrupt, some contact search results might unexpectedly disappear, and manual support intervention was required to restore normal operation.

With this update, the cache is rebuilt automatically whenever an issue is detected during a search, ensuring that users quickly regain access to complete and accurate contact results without needing support assistance.

130080: Improved Contact Search for Names with Apostrophes

Contact searches now correctly handle names that include apostrophes. Previously, users were unable to locate certain contacts, such as Siti Waki'ah or Nurul 'Ain, due to limitations in the search functionality.

This issue has been resolved, and searches containing apostrophes now return the accurate, expected results.

134616: Improved Cache Build Performance for WebEx + BroadWorks Integrations

A performance issue has been resolved where BroadWorks was queried too much during cache creation, causing unnecessary load and slower cache refresh times.

With this update, BroadWorks contacts are now queried only once and in bulk during the cache build process, and several general optimizations have been added to make cache generation faster and more reliable overall.

88959: Added ability to refresh Omnidir Cache manually through Admin Portal

A new Cache Management tab is now available in the Admin Portal, providing clear visibility and control over the status of the OmniDir contact cache.

From this tab, you can:

  • View when each cache entry is scheduled to expire

  • Manually invalidate individual entries or the entire cache

When a cache entry is marked as invalid, it is automatically rebuilt during the next search request. Until the rebuild is complete, OmniDir continues to use the existing cache to ensure uninterrupted and consistent search results.
